Team & Organisation

Collaborate with your team by inviting members to your organisation with role-based access.

Organisation

When you sign up, Drift creates an organisation for you. Your organisation is the shared workspace where all forms, workflows, and settings live.

Organisation Settings

Go to SettingsOrganisation to manage:

  • Organisation Name — your team or company name
  • Slug — used in branded form URLs (e.g., yourdomain.com/your-org-slug/form-name)
  • Plan — your current plan tier and usage

Team Members

Roles

Drift has three team roles:

Role Permissions
Owner Full access — manage members, billing, settings, forms, and workflows
Editor Create and edit forms and workflows, view responses
Viewer View forms and responses (read-only)

Inviting Members

  1. Go to SettingsMembers tab.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter the person's email address.
  4. Select a role: Owner, Editor, or Viewer.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The invitee receives an email with a link to join your organisation. If they don't have a Drift account, they'll be prompted to create one.

Managing Members

From the Members tab:

  • View all current members with their role, email, and join date
  • Change role — update a member's access level
  • Remove — revoke a member's access to the organisation
  • Resend invite — resend a pending invitation

Pending Invitations

Invitations that haven't been accepted yet appear in the members list with a "Pending" status. You can:

  • Resend — send the invitation email again
  • Revoke — cancel the invitation

Accepting an Invitation

When you receive an invite:

  1. Click the link in the email.
  2. If you're already logged in, you'll see the invitation details (organisation name, role, who invited you).
  3. Click Accept Invitation to join.
  4. If your email doesn't match the invitation, you'll see a warning — you can still accept if appropriate.

If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to sign up or log in first.

Switching Organisations

If you belong to multiple organisations, you can switch between them from the dashboard. Each organisation has its own forms, workflows, settings, and billing.

Deleting an Organisation

Owners can delete an organisation from SettingsDanger Zone:

  1. Click Delete Organisation.
  2. Confirm the action.
  3. All forms, responses, workflows, and member associations are permanently deleted.

This action is irreversible — make sure to export any data you need first.
