Administration

Super admins have access to a dedicated admin panel for managing the entire Drift platform. Access it from the sidebar by clicking Super Admin.

Super Admin Panel

The super admin panel is available at /super-admin and provides:

  • Overview — platform-wide stats (users, organisations, forms, submissions)
  • Users — manage all user accounts
  • Organisations — manage all organisations and their plans
  • Free Pro — grant and manage free Pro accounts
  • Email — send platform-wide emails
  • Contacts — manage enterprise contact requests

Free Pro Grants

Super admins can grant free Pro accounts to users — useful for partners, beta testers, non-profits, or anyone who should have Pro features without paying.

How It Works

A free Pro grant follows a simple lifecycle:

Status Meaning
Pending Invite sent, user hasn't signed up yet
Active User signed up and is on a free Pro plan
Revoked Grant was revoked, org downgraded to trial

Inviting a New User

  1. Go to Super AdminFree Pro.
  2. Click Grant Free Pro.
  3. Select the Invite New tab.
  4. Enter the person's email address.
  5. Optionally add a note (e.g., "Beta tester", "Non-profit partner").
  6. Click Send Invite.

The person receives an email with a special signup link. When they create their account using that link, their organisation is automatically set to the Pro plan — no trial, no payment required.

Promoting an Existing User

If someone already has a Drift account on a free or trial plan:

  1. Go to Super AdminFree Pro.
  2. Click Grant Free Pro.
  3. Select the Promote Existing tab.
  4. Search for the user by name or email.
  5. Select them from the results.
  6. Click Promote to Pro.

Their organisation is instantly upgraded to Pro.

You can also promote users directly from the Users or Organisations page using the Grant Free Pro action in the row menu.

Managing Grants

The Free Pro page shows all grants in a table with:

  • Email — the granted user's email
  • Status — colour-coded badge (pending, active, revoked)
  • Organisation — linked org (shown once activated)
  • Granted By — the admin who created the grant
  • Date — when the grant was created
  • Notes — any notes attached to the grant

Use the search bar and status filter to find specific grants.

Revoking a Grant

To revoke a free Pro grant:

  1. Find the grant in the table.
  2. Click the actions menu (three dots).
  3. Click Revoke.
  4. Confirm the action.

What happens on revoke:

  • Pending grants — the invite link is invalidated
  • Active grants — the organisation is downgraded to a 14-day trial

Resending an Invite

For pending grants where the user hasn't signed up yet:

  1. Click the actions menu on the grant row.
  2. Click Resend Invite.

A new invitation email is sent to the same address.

Quick Actions

You don't need to visit the Free Pro page for every action. You can also:

  • From the Users page — click the row menu on any user whose org is on a trial or free plan and select Grant Free Pro
  • From the Organisations page — click the row menu on any trial or free organisation and select Grant Free Pro (this automatically finds the org owner)

Managing Users

The Users page lets you:

  • Search users by name or email
  • Add new user accounts directly
  • Edit user details (name, email, role, super admin status)
  • Delete user accounts
  • Grant Free Pro to users on non-pro plans

Managing Organisations

The Organisations page lets you:

  • Search organisations by name or slug
  • Filter by plan (trial, free, pro, enterprise)
  • Change plan — set any plan tier
  • Set as Free — quick action to move to free plan
  • Grant Free Pro — upgrade to pro via grant (trial/free orgs)
  • Extend trial — set a new trial end date
  • Set limits — configure max forms and submissions per month
  • Delete — permanently remove an organisation and all its data
