Account & Settings

Manage your profile, preferences, API keys, and billing from the Settings page.

Profile

Go to SettingsProfile to manage your personal account.

Personal Information

  • Name — your display name
  • Email — your account email (verified status shown)
  • Password — change your password

Email Verification

Your email must be verified to use all features. If your email is unverified:

  1. Check your inbox for the verification email.
  2. Click the verification link.
  3. If you didn't receive it, go to Settings → Profile and click Resend Verification.

Preferences

  • Default Pacing Mode — set your preferred default pacing mode for new forms (Quick, Considered, or Guided)
  • Timezone — set your timezone for accurate timestamps on responses and analytics

API Keys

Generate API keys for programmatic access to the Drift API.

Creating an API Key

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations tab.
  2. Scroll to API Keys.
  3. Click Create API Key.
  4. Enter a name for the key (e.g., "Production Backend", "Zapier Integration").
  5. Copy the key immediately — it won't be shown again.

Managing API Keys

Your API keys list shows:

  • Name — the label you gave the key
  • Prefix — the first few characters for identification
  • Last Used — when the key was last used
  • Delete — permanently revoke the key

Using API Keys

Include your API key in the Authorization header of API requests:

Authorization: Bearer your-api-key

Billing & Plans

Current Plan

View your current plan under SettingsOrganisation:

  • Plan name (Free, Pro, Trial, Enterprise)
  • Trial end date (if on trial)
  • Current usage vs. limits

Upgrading

  1. Go to SettingsOrganisation or visit the Pricing page.
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro.
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout.
  4. Enter payment details.
  5. Your plan upgrades immediately and all Pro features become available.

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of Pro features — no credit card required.

Managing Your Subscription

Click Manage Billing to access the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View invoices
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Change your plan

Usage Tracking

Monitor your usage against plan limits:

Password Management

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to SettingsProfile.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter and confirm your new password (minimum 8 characters).
  4. Click Update Password.

Forgot Password

  1. On the login page, click Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Check your inbox for a reset link.
  4. Click the link and enter a new password.

Reset links expire after a limited time for security.

Deleting Your Account

To delete your account, contact support or use the organisation deletion flow if you're the sole owner. Account deletion removes:

  • Your profile and login credentials
  • Any organisations you own (and their forms, responses, and workflows)

This is permanent and cannot be undone.
